Prince Albert Police were asking the public to avoid the area of 22nd Street and 6th Avenue East this morning.

There was an accident around 8 am when police attempted a routine traffic stop.

The driver wouldn’t pull over, police deactivated their emergency equipment but say the driver went through the intersection and collided with another vehicle.

The driver of the second vehicle was assessed and treated by Parkland Ambulance at the scene. Prince Albert Police say a 19 year old man has been taken into custody and charges are pending.
