Friday night was the kick off to the RID sign program. RID stands for Report Impaired Drivers which you can do by calling 911 when you suspect an impaired driver.

On Friday night the Northwest Division of the Saskatoon Police Service issued seven roadside suspensions with six of those for THC and one for alcohol. As well one person was charged for refusing breath test and impaired driving. Two drivers were issued about a dozen tickets between the two of them and several tickets were issued for things like no seat belt, failed to have a license and driving while suspended.

Meanwhile, Corman Park Police also kicked off the RID sign program on April 1st. Their checkstop was on Grasswood Road and Highway 219. Sober drivers were thanked and given a gift from SGI and Market Tire. One person was criminally charged and there were four-72 hour suspensions issued by Corman Park Police.
