The leader of the opposition says the throne speech outlining the Saskatchewan Government’s plans and goals for the fall sitting of the legislature is proof the Moe Government hasn’t done much lately for Saskatchewan families.
NDP Leader Ryan Meili says he heard nothing that will deal with overcrowded classrooms and what he calls hallway medicine in the province’s hospitals.
Meili says he welcomes the commitment to jobs and growth outlined in the speech but says it lacked investment in people to ensure the province provides necessary services.
Meili says although the government boasts increasing education spending since 2007, per-student funding has fallen in each of the last three years.
