SaskPower crews continued making progress yesterday (sat) on restoring power to customers who were left in the dark after a storm with strong winds and snow hit the southwestern part of the province last week.
On Twitter, SaskPower says despite difficult and wet conditions, they were able to bring back power to the town of Hatton and rural areas north and west of Hatton. Crews also restored a powerline to Cypress Hills.
SaskPower is targeting a 5 p.m. estimated time of return for power to the Eagle Valley Campground today (sun) along with the trailer-park south of Maple Creek by 10 o’clock tonight (sun).
The crown corporation says it’s possible some individual customers may have their power restored as the day progresses.
About 138 SaskPower customers remain without power in the southwestern part of the province. SaskPower says that more than 600 power poles and 750 replacement crossarms have been sent to the Maple Creek area since the beginning of the repair effort.
