A Regina man is facing charges in connection to the Regina Police investigation of a 13 year old girl being sexually assaulted. Officers were called to the 1900 block of Robinson Street on Monday night. Police were told the victim was in an alley with two other children playing basketball when they were approached. The girl reported the man had inappropriately touched her and attempted to pull her toward him, but she was able to escape and she returned home.

Sixty-eight year old Leonard Mervin Johnson is charged with sexual assault of a minor, sexual interference and failing to comply with a probation order. His first court appearance in Regina was this afternoon (Tues).
