The province has signed a multi-year virtual care contract with Lumeca. The Saskatchewan company is the successful applicant from a Request For Proposals to replace the platform for secure healthcare virtual visits.

Premier Scott Moe considers this the start of a new era for Saskatchewan health care. It will enable health care providers to offer more options for their practice by using virtual appointments to supplement in-person care.

Health Minister Paul Merriman says, “This system will be of benefit to all Saskatchewan patients, especially those in rural or remote settings.”
The platform replaces the former tool used during the pandemic.
