Ukraine’s president says the Russians want to finish off and destroy Donbas and that the Ukainian military is preparing for major Russian offensive in the east. He says weapons are not arriving until May and that any delay in weapons or support for Ukraine is considered, by Russia, as permission being given to take the lives of Ukrainians. Volodomir Zelenskyy says the constant shelling of Ukraine’s second largest city of Kharkiv continues.

Zelenskyy again called for increased sanctions against Russia, including its entire banking sector and oil industry. He says, “Everyone in Europe and America already sees Russia openly using energy to destabilize Western societies. All of this requires greater speed from Western countries in preparing a new, powerful package of sanctions.”
