For the first time in 1,104 days, the Saskatoon Blades will play a playoff game…and that has nothing to do with not being good enough!

The Bridge City Bunch are in Moose Jaw to take on the Warriors Friday evening in the first game of a best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final. If not for COVID-19 shutting down the W-H-L for the better part of 18 months, the Blue and Gold would be making their fourth straight post-season appearance. Meanwhile, it’s up to the Blades to show that regular-season records mean something come playoff time. During the regular campaign, Saskatoon won six of eight games against Moose Jaw. Game time is 7 o’clock Friday with CJWW’s broadcast starting at 6:30.
