Residents in Moosomin and the surrounding area are dealing with the aftermath from another massive snowfall over the weekend. Mayor Larry Tomlinson says the power was out for about 12 hours in town, so there were concerns about the water supply. A Town worker plowed to the wells at the lake so SaskPower could get in there, and the water is up and running again.
He estimates there was close to two feet of snow, similar to the storm just over a week ago. As of this morning (Mon), there were power poles down south of the community, and phones are still out for many residents. Tomlinson says the amount of snow “pretty near crippled” them.
