White Butte R-C-M-P are investigating the theft of about 200 kilograms of commercial explosives from a business in a rural area southeast of Regina.
The R-C-M-P are also warning the public to not touch the explosives if you find them, or believe you may have found them. The White Butte detachment received the theft report at around 5 a.m. on May 2 with their investigation determining that an individual or individuals broke into the business and stole the commercial explosives sometime between 4 and 4:30 a.m. on May 1. White Butte R-C-M-P is asking that anyone with information to call their local police service or Crime Stoppers with the additional information to call police immediately if they happen to locate the explosives, or believe they have. The Saskatchewan R-C-M-P has an Explosives Disposal Unit trained to safely handle the materials.
