Environment Canada says heavy rain will continue over northern Saskatchewan today bringing another 10 to 20 millimetres of rain to some areas and the frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb the rainfall.
The national weather forecaster is warning that localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible and suggests area residents need to watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts and to be prepared for possible winter conditions at higher elevations.
Train is expected to taper off in the warning area in the south today with areas near the border with the Northwest Territories tapering off this evening.
