A Saskatchewan man found guilty of first degree murder in the death of Carol King has had his appeal dismissed by the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal.
Joseph David Caissie was found guilty of killing his ex-girlfriend Carol King in January 2019. He was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for first-degree murder and indignity to a body.
In the summer of 2011 King went missing and subsequently, her car was found submerged in a slough near Herschel, Saskatchewan.
A few weeks later her body was found on an abandoned farmyard in the Herschel area.
Carol King was 40 years old.
