The Saskatoon Fire Department was called out at 6:33 a.m. this morning (tues) to a garage fire in the 1300 block of Avenue B North.

When firefighters arrived on scene they spotted garbage and the detached garage on fire. Utility services were shut off and the fire was quickly brought under control by within 20 minutes.

No one was hurt in the fire and the fire is suspicious with damage estimated at $50,000.

The Fire Investigator determined the fire started with a couch being set on fire that spread to the garbage bin and the garage.
