The 2022 Saskatchewan Literacy Awards of Merit have been presented.

Lieutenant (left-tenant) Governor of Saskatchewan Russ Mirasty presented the awards during an event in Regina this past week alongside her Honour Donna Mirasty.

Phaedra Hitchings, Executive Director for the Saskatchewan Literacy Network says “Since 1990, these awards have highlighted important literacy work in our province. The recipients this evening continue this legacy of dedication to literacy advancement in Saskatchewan.”

Tekeyla Friday of Swift Current won the honours for the Professional Leadership in Literacy Award. Victoria Martin of Davidson was also a recipient of a Professional Leadership in Literacy Award.

Youth Volunteer Service Award – Rebecca Duncan of Estevan

Cameco Literacy Learner Award and Bursary – Hong (Allan) Ren of Regina
