RCMP say they had officers headed to the Big River Detachment area back on October 19th, which is two Saturday’s ago, and spotted a car driving at a low rate of speed which they say was all over the road.
When officers tried to stop the car it quickly accelerated to a high rate of speed and no pursuit was attempted, however, the RCMP members did note a short way down the road that there were marks on the pavement consistent with a speeding vehicle making a turn.
Officers headed that direction which lead to a dirt road and the suspect vehicle. One of the four people inside who took off on foot was apprehended a short time later by a North Battleford Police Dog.
RCMP seized Canadian currency, a sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun, two different kinds of ammunition, multiple knives and cell phones, a machete, masks, and a baton.
22 year old Henry Ratt, 39 year old Jerry Stewart Netmaker, 35 year old Larry Durocher, and 23 year old Kelsey Lee Lachance are all in court today in Prince Albert facing multiple firearms and dangerous driving charges.
