SaskPower says their annual wood power pole maintenance is officially underway.
The Crown Corporation will inspect over 101,000 wooden power poles across the province to ensure reliability.
Work is scheduled to take place between May and October in Shellbrook, Rosthern, Stoughton, Rosetown, Spiritwood, rural parts east of Saskatoon, La Ronge and Buffalo Narrows.
Some of the work happening this year will include installing wildlife protection on SaskPower infrastructure.
SaskPower says they have 1.2 million wooden power poles in Saskatchewan.
