The Yorkton Film Festival is taking place this weekend with over 300 films entered into this year’s event.
This year marks the 75th edition of the Yorkton Film Festival which kicked-off Thursday night with the screening of a film called “Donkeyhead” at the Painted Hand Casino in Yorkton.
YFF Executive Director Randy Goulden says filmmakers from across Canada are attending this year’s festival.
“We have filmmakers from across Canada, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver. So we’re pretty excited about that.”
Goulden says all the activity today (Fri) will be at the Gallagher Centre, with public film screenings from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and people have a chance to meet some of the filmmakers in-person.
More information on this weekend’s schedule can be found on the Yorkton Film Festival website.
The film festival is being held in conjunction with Lobsterfest in Yorkton.
