The Saskatoon Tribal Council’s campaign called #ActOnReconciliation continues today (Fri), as it does every final Friday of the month. The goal is to harness the momentum of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day on September 30th, keeping Reconciliation top of mind all year long.
The City of Saskatoon supports this campaign with actions and activities on the final Friday of the month. An orange filter has been added to all of its social media accounts today, and lighting at City Hall, the Prairie Wind art installation outside the Remai Modern, and SaskTel will be orange.
Between today (Fri) and June 3rd, you can visit Civic Square beside City Hall to see the Reconciliation Flag raised, and to take a moment to reflect on its significance. There was a flag raising ceremony today hosted by Reconciliation Saskatoon to set the stage for the season of commemoration and reflection in June.
