The Saskatoon Police Service has charged an 18 year old male following an incident involving a firearm at a high school on Tuesday afternoon. Officers were told there was a person with a gun at a school parking lot in the 200 block of Primrose Drive, which is Bishop James Mahoney High School.
The suspect had what was determined to be a replica BB gun. Police say he was reported to have fired the gun at three males, striking one of them, who received a minor injury. The 18 year old fled, but was taken into custody shortly afterwards.
His charges include possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, two counts of assault with a weapon, and causing harm with intent.
