The annual conference for the Saskatchewan Emergency Planners Association in Saskatoon includes a session on counter terrorism measures.
Other topics include traumatic event response and rapid damage assessment.
Emergency management Coordinator Deb Davies says delegates are also hearing about how to look after the needs of emergency responders after traumatic events.
The conference is being attended by career and volunteer fire fighters, paramedics, emergency coordinators, municipal administrators and elected officials.
There were two days of preliminary sessions before the main conference opened Thursday.
It wraps up early Friday (this) afternoon.
