You may notice a crashed car from MADD Saskatoon at various high traffic intersections over the next two months.
They are raising awareness about the serious effects impaired driving can have.
In Saskatchewan last year 33 people died and 370 were injured as a result of impaired.
In 2021 33 people died and 370 were injured as a result of impaired driving.
Lou and Linda Van de Vorst who are heading this campaign were tragically affected by impaired driving when their son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren were hit and killed in 2016.
Since then the Van de Vorsts have made it their priority to get involved with MADD Canada and reduce the number of deaths each year from impaired driving.
Lou says, “We will continue to do our part to prevent people from driving impaired.”
