The Saskatoon Fire Department were called out to two different early morning garage fires Friday which have both been determined to be suspicious.

A 9-1-1 call came in at 5:04 a.m. of a fire at a detached garage in the 600 block of Avenue J South. Fire crews encountered a fire with flames extending towards the roof and had the blaze under control in 15 minutes.

At 5:59 a.m. firefighters responded to a 9-1-1 call of a fence and a garage on fire in the 500 block of Avenue E south.

When crews arrived the exterior of two garages were actually on fire. That fire was under control about 40 minutes later. Saskatoon Police will continue the investigation. The estimated damage at Avenue J South is $10,000 and the damage estimate for Avenue E south is also $10,000 per garage.
