Six communities will receive a $25,000 grant to support their fundraising efforts for sport, recreation and culture initiatives thanks to the Richardson Pioneer Rider Nation Community Celebration contest. Along with the funding, these communities will also host a Rider Nation celebration, which could feature things like the Grey Cup trophy, Rider representatives and alumni.
Also, two Grey Cup Festival events in Saskatoon have been announced. Cameco is sponsoring a youth rally at Merlis Belsher Place on November 15th and a Grey Cup pancake breakfast on November 16th. The Grey Cup will be held on Sunday, November 20th at Mosaic Stadium.
