Nipawin RCMP are reporting two separate incidents involving firearms at a home. On May 27th, officers were told of an armed person in a home in the Seymour Street area. The investigation determined someone had gone to a home and when they arrived, a woman pointed a firearm through the window. No injuries were reported.
The woman in the home, 31 year old Rachael Budd, is facing charges which include pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and theft under $5,000.
On June 5th, Nipawin RCMP were alerted about a gun being shot on 3rd Street North. Police say it was shot inside a home, but no one was injured, and a woman who is alleged to have had a firearm in her possession, was arrested. The charges for 19 year old Twila Stewart include possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm magazine, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number and resisting arrest.
