Fire investigators have determined the cause of a house fire in the city’s Dundonald neighbourhood Friday morning was the result of barbeque briquettes not being properly extinguished.
The fire broke out just before 9 o’clock at a home in the 200 block of Kirkpatrick Crescent.
Fire investigators estimate the damage is $320,000.
When fire crews arrived, they found the house with an attached garage significantly involved in fire and smoke showing.
No injuries were reported.
