Betty Stanford of Elstow is $250,000 richer.
Saskatchewan’s latest lottery winner won the prize after scratching a super scratch pack.
Stanford originally thought her ticket was a $25 dollar winner but when she asked her neighbour, they thought it was a $25,000 winning prize when actually all along it was a quarter of a million dollars.
The Elstow resident kept the win a secret for two weeks until her family hosted a surprise birthday party for her. That’s when she reversed the surprise by telling them her big win.
The ticket was purchased in Saskatoon at the Pinnacle Gas and Food store on Faithful Avenue. The same store which sold a winning $55 million dollar Lotto MAX ticket back in October.
