A fatal single vehicle rollover, a home invasion and vehicle/pedestrian hit-and-run were among the calls Saskatchewan RCMP responded to over the weekend.
A 25 year old man from Martensville died in a single rollover early Saturday morning in the Turtleford area, about 225 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon. Officers were called to the rollover around 6:15am on Highway 26, south of Turtleford. The man was pronounced dead-at-the-scene.
Nipawin RCMP are looking for the public’s help regarding a home invasion at a residence in the community early Monday morning. An investigation determined that a group of individuals were looking for money and assaulted a man inside the residence. They fled in an SUV stolen from the property. The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
La Ronge RCMP believe a man may have been hit by a vehicle on Highway #2 near Curtiss Street in Air Ronge. Officers found the man on the side of the road around 3am on Saturday. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Several cattle died in a semi-rollover on Saturday evening in west-central Saskatchewan. Kindersley RCMP received the report just after 8:30 on Highway #21, about 10 kilometres west of Glidden.
The male semi driver had minor injuries. The highway was closed while the cattle were assessed and the semi was removed.
