A weapons incident on Monday in Regina has left a 41-year-old male victim hospitalized due to injuries sustained and 18-year-old Kevin Billings-Barth facing a charge of aggravated assault.
At about 1:56 p.m. on June 13, the Regina Police Service answered numerous calls to the area of 12th Avenue and Albert Street regarding two males fighting. They found the 41-year-old male suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound at the intersection of 12th Avenue and Angus Street. E-M-S transported him to hospital. With the help of witness descriptions, Billings-Barth was found nearby by officers and taken into custody without incident. Police found an edged weapon, believed to have been used in the assault. Billings-Barth made his first appearance in Provincial Court on Tuesday morning.
