Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation will provide more than 750 families with food, games, and personal care items through the delivery of Cheer Crates.
The Cheer Crates campaign was created in support of Saskatoon Public Schools families who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Almost 4,000 crates filled with learning materials and necessities have been delivered to families over the past few years during extended school breaks.
Zeba Ahmad, Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation Executive Director says, “Schools are the heart of our community and a place where students receive nutrition, education and emotional support”
Around 75 volunteers along with teachers and staff are part of the packing and delivery process. Delivery of the June Cheer Crates will take place today (weds).
