For the first time since 2019, Saskatoon students will have their art displayed on City buses as part of Saskatoon Transit’s student art contest.
Over the course of the summer, grade 7 students from Lakeridge School and Grade 3 students from Alvin Buckwold will have their artwork displayed on ten City buses.
The theme this year was Active Transportation, something grade 7 student Neha says her and her classmates captured.
“Well it’s like representing different transportation and we put it in a galaxy because it surrounds the earth. So those are different modes of transportation on earth.”
The Lakeridge submission was done by four grade 7 girls who say took them about a month to create. The grade 3 entry was done by three boys from Alvin Buckwold.
This is the third time the student art contest has taken place with students submitting their art in 2018, 2019 and now 2022.
