A church on the Waterhen First Nation that was destroyed by fire shortly after daybreak on Thursday has been determined to be suspicious in nature.

Meadow Lake R-C-M-P were called to a structure fire at the church on the Waterhen First Nation at about 6:10 a.m. on June 23.

Officers determined no one was injured in the blaze that destroyed the church. Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call Meadow Lake R-C-M-P or Crime Stoppers.
