A Prince Albert Police Service investigation is underway into complaints of weapons in the area of the 1200 block of 14th Street West and a woman who was hospitalized with serious injuries from Wednesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the area at about 8:17 a.m. and found a 23-year-old woman suffering from serious injuries. She was taken to hospital by Parkland Ambulance. The P-A Police Service has increased its presence in the area around the 1200 block of 14th Street West and the 1100 block of 15th Street West as the investigation continues. No arrests have yet to be made and the public is warned to be careful in the investigation area. Police are asking anyone who witnessed or heard anything suspicious between 8 and 9 a.m. Wednesday to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
