The downward trend continued in four major COVID-19 statistics in Saskatchewan, according to the final weekly Ministry of Health E-P-I report. There were three novel coronavirus-related deaths in the province, two in the week of June 19th to 25th and the other before June 18th. That number was down significantly from the 12 fatalities in the previous week’s update. There were 208 new cases of COVID-19 reported between June 19th and 25th, down from 231 the previous week. The total number of Saskatchewan residents in hospital because of the virus is down to 119 on June 29th, compared to 157 on June 22nd with four of the infections being treated in an I-C-U in the latest report, compared to five the week previous. The Ministry of Health is transitioning to monthly COVID-19 updates now with the next report slated for July.
