Just before midnight last night (Saturday), officers of the Regina Police Service responded to a report of gunshots and a fight around 3rd Avenue and Elizabeth Crescent. Officers report witnessing a man passing a long barrelled firearm to people in a nearby vehicle. Police say he was taken into custody, and police stopped the vehicle and recovered a firearm. Spent shell casings were located at the scene.

Twenty year old Hazek Paus is facing charges that include reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, and possession of a firearm, knowing its possession is unauthorized.
