The Saskatchewan RCMP’s weekly report includes an incident on July 1st which turned out to be fatal.

Shortly after 9 that morning, Onion Lake RCMP were told of an unconscious man in a camper next to a home on the Onion Lake Cree Nation. Officers report the 46 year old was seriously injured.

He was taken by ambulance to Lloydminster and then to hospital in Saskatoon by STARS. The 46 year old succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

Police say he was the victim of an assault and the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crime Unit are investigation, along with the local Detachment, North Battleford General Investigation Section, Forensic Identification Services, and Lloydminster RCMP Police Dog Services.
