Heather Ryan has become the first woman CEO of Federated Co-operatives Limited. She is also the first designated Chartered Professional in Human Resources to hold the job. She has worked with FCL since 2013.

Ryan says one of her first priorities in the new role is re-establishing key relationships and moving forward with FCL’s goal to take a leading role in the transition to a low carbon economy. FCL employs over 3,200 people, serving 160 local Co-ops and over 2-million active members across four provinces.
