The Prince Albert Police Service says a 25 year old man was in court on charges of assaulting two police officers while attempting to disarm one of them, resisting arrest, caused mischief, damaged a vehicle and breached his court-ordered probation.

Prince Albert Police responded to a report of a disturbance just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning in the 500 Block of River Street East. A resident reported suspicious activity involving a man kicking a vehicle before entering a nearby home. A suspect was located on the back steps which is when the officers allege he became combative.

No one was injured and Kane Charles of Montreal Lake was in Prince Albert Provincial court on Monday.
