Tariq Bajwa is asking for help in finding his missing wife. The Saskatoon Media Group Newsroom had previously reported, as per a news release from the police, on Nuzhat Tabassum, a missing 53 year old woman.
Bajwa says they know from security cameras that she left their house in Rosewood around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday and they have been looking for her mostly in the Rosewood area. He says the police have provided their resources, including air support, in the search, but he says it has been more than three days and with the extreme heat, they are very concerned. “I’m seeking some help. If there is any rescue group that can help to organize that proper rescue or search operation.”
Bajwa says his wife is in a vulnerable state and has been experiencing mental health issues in addition to not having slept for several days prior to her disappearance. Nuzhat Tabassum is described as 5 foot 5, 160 pounds with black shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. She was last wearing light coloured pants, a maroon t-shirt and beige shoes. She also has a hospital band on her wrist from Royal University Hospital. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service.
Update: The Saskatoon Police Service has issued a third request for the public’s help in locating 53 year old Nuzhat Tabassum. Police say Nuzhat is in a vulnerable state, and add to that the extreme heat warning, and the Police Service reiterates the concern for her well-being. Police along with Saskatoon Search and Rescue have conducted organized ground and air searches, but have not been able to find her. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or leave a tip anonymously with Crime Stoppers.
