A handful of heat records were broken yesterday (sat) in Saskatchewan.
Saskatoon tied its July 16th record of 36.7 degrees set back in 1941. Waskesiu broke their previous high by three degrees of 29 Celcius set back in 1991 with a new July 16th high of 32 degrees yesterday (sat).
Watrous, Meadow Lake, Lucky Lake and Assiniboia were the other communities that shattered their previous highs for July 16th yesterday (sat).
