Thousands of graduating high school students spent much of Monday at T-C-U Place, but they weren’t there to be entertained. They were learning about their post-secondary options at the See Your Future Education and Career Fair. Exhibitors from universities, colleges, technical schools and businesses from across North America provided information on courses, accommodations, scholarships and job requirements. Students were given literature, demonstrations, and had the chance to take in seminars and audio-visual displays as well as get one-on-one consultations. Teagan Elliott from Kindersley is planning on enrolling at the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Education and was curious about learning about supporting herself away from home in addition to academic information. Odysseus Moorman of Lake Lenore plans to take business courses at the U-of-S but wanted to explore other options as well as information on scholarships and housing, both on and off campus.
The event will be in Regina today (Tues).
