Three Regina youth are facing charges in connection to a firearms incident Regina Police investigation early Tuesday morning. The Police Service says shortly after midnight officers responded to the 1100 block of Edgar Street because of a report that three boys sprayed dogs with bear mace, and one of them had a gun.
Officers were told three teens were walking by a home and sprayed the dogs, and when the resident followed to confront them, one of them pointed a firearm at her. A witness reported seeing one of the boys dropping a bag.
Police report the three suspects were located nearby, and identified as being in breach of release order, and the bag was also located nearby with two firearms inside. It’s alleged the one identified as the teen who pointed the gun gave a false identity to officers.
A 15 year old boy is charged with pointing a gun, possession of a weapon, obstructing a police officer and failing to comply with a disposition. A 16 year old is facing two counts of failing to comply with a release order and a second 16 year old is facing one count of the same charge. They appeared in court on Tuesday.
