The Interim C-E-O of the Saskatoon Region Association of Realtors says the city’s real estate market has stabilized.
Trevor Schmidt says the average five-year sales price of just over 333-thousand dollars hasn’t changed much in the last several years.
Schmidt also says this year’s average time to sell a home of 54 days is one less than the five-year average.
Association figures indicate the 306 homes sold in Saskatoon during October meant an increase of seven percent with a five percent bump in total dollar volume to 97.5 million dollars. The average price dropped about two percent from October of 2018 at around 318-thousand dollars.
The association says year-to-date sales are also up seven percent to 3,160 with total dollar volume increasing by six percent to 1.05-billion dollars.
In Saskatoon and area which includes Dalmeny, Warman and Martinsville October sales were up five percent 414 homes with sales so far in 2019 hitting 4,213, and increase of five percent. year-to-date sales are up three percent to 4,213.
