A Cumberland House Cree Nation man, who has a warrant out for his arrest on three charges from recent incidents, is being sought by R-C-M-P.

The Cumberland House R-C-M-P are warning the public to not approach 29-year-old Lawrence McGillivray (pictured) if you see him. Back on Monday afternoon, officers responded to a report of a male uttering threats at a residence on the Cumberland House Cree Nation. Upon arrival, they found the residence on fire. No injuries were reported, but the residence was heavily damaged upon the blaze being extinguished by local fire services.

During their investigation, R-C-M-P learned of a separate assault from earlier this year that McGillivray is believed to have been involved in. He is charged with one count of arson, one count of utter threats and one count of assault causing bodily harm by choking, strangling or suffocating. McGillivray is said to be about 5’10” inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone who has seen him or has information as to his whereabouts is asked to call Cumberland House R-C-M-P or Crime Stoppers.
