White Butte RCMP are investigating a fatal accident which happened Monday night just after 11 on Highway 1 near Balgonie. Police determined a car and a van collided in the eastbound lanes.

The driver of the car, and 18 year old White City man, and the passenger, a 64 year old woman from Nanaimo, B.C. were pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. The man driving the van was taken to hospital with serious injuries. White Butte RCMP are investigating with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
