Six people are facing charges in connection to a Saskatchewan RCMP investigation into the death of 24 year old Edgar Ratt of Bell’s Point on July 21st. Just after 3 that morning, La Ronge RCMP were told of an assault at a home in Bell’s Point, and found Ratt injured. He was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The six facing charges of first degree murder and break and enter to commit an indictable offence of mischief are 23 year old Cameron Ross, 21 year old Charmaine Charles, 20 year old Gracie Isbister, 21 year old Katelyn Halkett, and two 17 year olds, a boy and a girl. They are all from the La Ronge area.
Gracie Isbister and the 17 year old boy are also charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm, and the teen is also charge with intent to commit an indictable offence with his face masked. All but the 17 year old boy appear in court this morning (Thurs). The boy has a warrant for his arrest, but due to his age, he can’t be identified.
