On social media, the City of Saskatoon’s Emergency Management Organization says the extreme heat response has been activated for today (Fri) and tomorrow. There are cool down locations for those who need a break from the heat, with a high of 34 in Saskatoon today (Fri). They include the Salvation Army on Avenue C, Station 20 West, Prairie Harm Reduction, and the city’s library branches. The EMO also reminds everyone to consider checking on friends, neighbours and relatives who may not have air conditioning to make sure they are okay.
