Melfort R-C-M-P are still on the lookout for a woman who stole liquor from a store in Birch Hills nearly a month ago.

Back on June 8, at about 6:50 p.m., officers determined that a female (pictured) entered the store in Birch Hills and made off with two bottles of liquor. She is described as having dark hair and was wearing a black hoodie and green pants. She got away in a black Pontiac Grand Am with Saskatchewan plate 398 M-R-I. Anyone with information is asked to contact Melfort R-C-M-P.

That was one of 108 break and enters in the province according to the R-C-M-P report for the week of July 25 through 31. Twenty-one of the 108 break and enter were to a business.  In total, R-C-M-P received 7,809 calls for service, with July 30 being the busiest day with 1,289 calls.

There were no homicides reported by Saskatchewan R-C-M-P during the week with the number of homicides through the first seven months of 2022 remaining at 14. However, from the large volume of calls for service, there were 119 reports of impaired drivers, 192 assaults, 19 sexual assaults, eight aggravated assaults, eight firearms incidents, 243 total thefts and 570 mischief calls attended to.
