The President and C-E-O of the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce says members will hear from a panel of Indigenous business leaders at Summit 2019. Darla Lindbjerg feels the opening topic at Thursday’s conference gives members a chance to learn about a quickly growing sector that will play a huge role in the future of business in Saskatchewan. She says it’s a chance for members to interact with Indigenous business people and get first hand input on their needs. The conference at Remai Modern also features sessions on the future workforce and procurement from post-secondary education officials as well as provincial, municipal and private sector experts. Lindbjerg says the findings of early October roundtable sessions will also be presented. They covered issues of importance to members including concerns and hopes relating to topics at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.
