Saskatoon Police are investigating the city’s 15th homicide of 2019.
A 15 year old collapsed inside the ATM vestibule Saturday just before noon at the credit union in the 2300 block of Arlington Avenue.
Police say an autopsy completed on Monday determines the cause of death is from a gunshot.
A 15 year old male has been charged with Second Degree Murder, possession of a firearm while prohibited and breach of probation. He is in court Wednesday afternoon.
Three search warrants were executed at three homes and the first was conducted Tuesday night in the 100 block of Weyakwin Drive followed by two others early Wednesday morning in the 300 block of O’Regan Crescent and the 400 block of Witney Avenue South. Two teen boys were arrested at the time and physical evidence was seized. The second teen remains in custody while police continue to investigate.
Saskatoon Police say further information will be released as it becomes available but that this incident was not random in nature.
