Shellbrook RCMP say their detachment received a report Saturday afternoon that the body of a man had been discovered on Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation.

Investigators believe the body to be that of 22-year-old Isaiah Arcand of Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation, who was reported missing to police on June 29 of this year.

The circumstances surrounding Mr. Arcand’s death are not being considered suspicious at this time. The Saskatchewan Coroners Service is now investigating and an autopsy will take place to confirm the identity of the deceased. Mr. Arcand’s family has been notified.
